Figranium vs
n8n

Figranium and n8n automate different parts of a workflow—and they can be even more useful together.

Figranium runs reusable browser tasks on your own infrastructure, from navigating a portal to extracting data. n8n orchestrates workflows across apps and services with triggers, nodes, and data transformations.

Compare their roles and see how the verified Figranium node brings browser tasks into an n8n workflow.

Figranium and n8n:
what's the difference?

Figranium handles browser interactions; n8n connects and orchestrates apps and services. Use them together to bring browser tasks into an n8n workflow.

What it does

Build browser workflows visually, then run them through an API or on a schedule.

n8n connects apps, data, and services in flexible automation workflows.

Role

Automates the browser interactions in a task.

Orchestrates the wider workflow across apps and services.

Building

Define browser steps in the visual task editor.

Connect triggers, app nodes, logic, and the Figranium node.

Together

Runs the task with supplied variables and returns a result.

Triggers the task and passes its result to downstream nodes.

About the tools

About Figranium

Figranium is an open-source, self-hosted browser automation platform. Build browser actions in a visual block editor, then run saved tasks through the REST API or on a schedule. It also supports runtime variables, proxy configuration, and integrations with automation tools and AI clients.

About n8n

n8n is a workflow automation platform for connecting apps and services with nodes, triggers, branching, and data transformations. The Figranium community node connects those workflows to browser tasks.

Your browser automation, on your infrastructure.

Figranium is open source and self-hosted. Install it on a machine or server you control: the browser, workflow execution, and saved data run on that instance. Trigger tasks through its API or scheduler without moving the runtime to a managed platform.

You choose and pay for the infrastructure, and you are responsible for setup, updates, security, and maintenance. Data can still leave your instance when you configure external services or visit websites; optional anonymous telemetry can be disabled.

Different roles, stronger together.

Use Figranium to build and run reusable browser tasks such as navigating portals, filling forms, and extracting data. Use n8n to coordinate those tasks with other apps, triggers, and data transformations. You can also use both: the verified Figranium node lets n8n pass variables to a task and use its result downstream.

Frequently asked questions

Is Figranium a competitor to n8n?

They complement each other. n8n connects and orchestrates services, while Figranium supplies reusable browser workflows for steps that need a browser.

How do I connect them?

Install the verified Figranium community node in n8n, configure the instance URL and API key, and add an Execute Task operation to your workflow.

Can n8n pass data to a Figranium task?

Yes. The node accepts runtime variables and returns the task response for use by subsequent n8n nodes.
