Figranium can translate the rendered target page for a task before its actions and extraction logic run. Translation is configured per task and is disabled by default.

Enable translation

In Task Settings, enable Page Translation and choose a target language. The equivalent task JSON is:
targetLanguage uses translate.js language names. Common values include english, spanish, french, german, italian, portuguese, japanese, korean, chinese_simplified, and arabic.

Execution behavior

  • Agent tasks translate the initial rendered page before actions and extraction run.
  • Translation is reapplied after later navigations in the same browser page.
  • Headful sessions use the same task translation setting.
  • Scrape mode is HTTP-only and does not execute page translation.
  • If translation is omitted, Figranium behaves as if enabled were false.
This is useful when your selectors, extraction logic, or downstream data processing expect page text in a consistent language while the source site may render another one.
Enabling translation loads translate.js and sends rendered page text to its configured external translation service. Only enable it for pages whose content may be shared with that service.

Example task fragment

Translation changes the rendered page text available to browser-backed actions; it does not turn Agent mode into an autonomous AI agent or alter Scrape mode’s HTTP-only execution model.
